Dear Latin Filmmakers and Creators, The 2006 edition of TILFF will offer a new and exciting section featuring one-minute Latin films from around the world. The new showcase is part of a partnership between TILFF and Filminute. Filminute is an international one-minute film festival devoted to developing, celebrating and showcasing one-minute films by creative professionals. To be considered, submitted films (or animations) should contain many of the same elements that make a successful feature film - captivating narratives, engaging character arcs, strong production values etc. Submitted films will also need to be of broadcast quality to ensure their ability to be screened across multiple platforms including cinema, television, Internet and mobile phones. The official Filminute launch site and demo announces the global call for submissions and information about the competition: http://www.filminute.com Through initiatives like this, TILFF aims to develop closer and more frequent ties to Latin Filmmakers like you and we hope, in turn, this will create more opportunities for both the festival and its filmmakers. We will update you as the partnership between TILFF & Filminute progresses. So begin thinking about your own one-minute films to ensure that the Latin countries are well-represented! Sincerely, Raul Galvez. |
